There are many ways you can help us as your local RSPCA branch, including volunteering and helping us to raise funds.
Fundraising and donations
This is so important for the future of the Branch. Without funds the Branch cannot survive. Our work requires a never-ending drive to raise funds to ensure we can continue to help as many animals as possible. You can help us to raise funds by:
- Donating to the branch directly, either:
- online by clicking the button!
- by post; make cheques payable to "RSPCA Crewe, Nantwich & Districts" and send to RSPCA Branch Treasurer, 23 Blagg Avenue, Nantwich, CW5 5JF
- Searching the Internet using easysearch. The search engine provider will make a direct donation of 1p to us every time you conduct a search using their engine.
- Helping with, or organising, a fundraising activity. Please email your details including your name and telephone number to: branch@rspca-crewenantwich.org.uk.
- Payroll giving. Does your employer have a payroll giving facility? If so, you can receive tax relief on your donations which will be deducted from your pay. Please speak with your payroll section about this option. You must specifiy that the beneficiary should be RSPCA Crewe, Nantwich & Districts BRANCH if you wish the money to come direct to us. Further information please email your name and telephone number to: branch@rspca-crewenantwich.org.uk.
- Legacies. Our branch is very thankful to those people who have remembered us in their Will. For this branch to receive a bequest you must clearly state the beneficiary as the RSPCA Crewe, Nantwich & Districts BRANCH.
Volunteering
Home Visitors
Before we rehome our animals we visit prospective adopters to ensure they are fully aware of the needs of that animal and the responsibility they are taking on. The role also includes visiting the homes of potential adopters and answering any questions they might have about the animal they wish to adopt. Having previous knowledge of caring for dogs, cats and other animals will be a distinct advantage. And being able to pass your knowledge on to members of the public in a constructive manner would be a great asset. Home visitors are currently required in the Winsford, Crewe, Middlewich and Nantwich areas; own transport is essential. All paperwork and leaflets are provided to help you with your visits.
Dog Walkers
Kennels are located just outside of Nantwich so ideally you will be living in close proximity to limit your travelling distance. For dog walkers, all training is provided.
Dog Transporters
Kennels are located just outside of Nantwich so ideally you will be living in close proximity to limit your travelling distance. For dog transportation, ideally you will have access to a dog guard for your car although this is not a necessity. Transportation is required during normal working hours (9am-5pm, Mon to Fri).
